Informative video with some great ideas, especially branding. Networking will require a personal elevator pitch and branding, just like a company. Everyone is a salesman, whether they want to think in those terms or not.

Now I just need to focus on the pitch and branc

Many times the information relating to job search methods & practices that I consult may relate only to US/European audiences. What I strongly believe after viewing Greig´s video is that his concepts are very solid and applicable for latin american markets as well. I´m extremely pleased with your messages to help others like you are already doing with me. Keep up the good work!

I liked the video and the concepts covered in it. Going to have to do some research.

Since I have found Greig and tried his suggestions I can be found on Google close to 1st position and am in first position on LinkedIn as of today.

Greig is a professional recruiter that wants to help and I have seen that so far. Branding is good, people identify with them so create your brand and see what happens.

Look at greigs other information a lot is free and is helping me. See if it can help you!

This video is great, it’s informative. Nice job Mr.Wells, this video shared some ideas about the present job situation! Job seekers could find this really helpful.

Mr Wells gives great advice. If your selling yourself or a product you should follow this advice.

Audio also dropped out for me from 2:30 to 2:47. Made things a bit hard to follow… I like the focus on networking, a necessary action I think a lot of people forget; through internet sites like Linked In, or through old fashioned face-to-face talking… I agree that the over-saturation of very qualified, experienced candidates makes it harder for younger people to break into more competitive agencies.

This was really a great job by Mr.Wells. This was a very good video for the present job situation. It was very informative and had given me a good confidence to look out for the job. This video is a must watch video for all the job seekers. There was nothing to get confused in this aspect.

The audio went out on me from about 2:30 to 2:52. What is it that the guy is saying beyond what is on the screen. This really throws off the rest of the hidden job market section. Can you let me know more about this part.

  • RadialActive

this video is surprisingly useful and immediately practical for me — I especially like the UPV vs. UVP, that makes perfect sense. The slide at 5:00 hits home especially. The entire presentation is well organized and I’m going to take some of this advice.
(btw… is it just me, or does the audio drop out from 2:27 through 2:48?)

The best part/advice of the video is that a job seeker should not rely only on the resume because it is a big mistake!!!
a career brand is a wonderful and powerfull addition because it is your extra contribution for the company.

I found the advice easy to follow and have a feeling that following them would certainly put me in advantage as a job seeker. But I could not understand how I could build insider advocate for myself?

  • jokersstyle1

    Mr Wells,
I viewed your video and found the information very helpful. It was good how you talked about how a canidate for a job should sell themselves. A great number of people forget this when they go to an interview.
Now about how you can better the video. The first part that you can change is show some video of you talking. This would bring the presentation more to life, which helps the one watching remember the information. The second change is bring more energy into the intro.

  • xsf235

Thanks Mr. Wells on this presentation for finding a job. In this tough job market, at 9.4% unemployment, job seekers need to get past the roadblocks that are so disheartening. Network, get found, build strategy, unique valuable promise, and other terms you presented, sure are valuable advice. Showing that passion and enthusiasm for a job, along with your branding concept, is top notch advice for one’s resume.

  • rmultani

Hi Greg….The tips that you have given for job seekers are really very crucial considering the current job scenario. Specially the ones about “networking” as well as “branding yourself”. Only suggestion for you: Make your presentation more visual: Maybe show how to face interviews or how you can work on your networking skills visually.

  • vaaahooo

The best thing I like is your study and research work done in job hunting, its globally true that every one is facing the same three issues you shared in the starting.

  • vaaahooo

Hi Greig, Nice video, I’ve also checked your website, and quite impressed with the information and knowledge you shared on job Hunting.I’ve many friends who is facing problem of not getting noticed, I’d surely recommend this video and your website to them. Many thanks for sharing it.

  • MrCougar1994

Greig, I agree thoroughly on your branding concept for job seeking. As a recruiter I want to know something that separates an applicant from the rest of the pool. Your branding approach if done correctly would certainly do that. The one suggestion I would give is to do more than just the power point. Let’s see you!
