Sorry, but it’s a little naive to think that this is always true. Sometimes the benefits of buying a cheaper, lower-quality product outweigh the downfalls of that product. This is especially evident in economic times such as these.

If goods were low-quality, then why anyone would buy it? It’s nonsense if there is competition who can always offer better products, but when gov. intervetion its breaking all this free market mechanism.

if there was no gov’t intervention then companies may be able to take advantage of us (the consumer) by giving us low-quality goods to keep prices low. These shoddy goods may be important, like a pacemaker, and needs to be in good condition. Sure, there’s a competition among product quality, but it ultimately leads to a decrease in quality in favor of a better profit-price margin.
